LCD
as a credit cooperative
that aims at financing individual projects by granting loans with low
interest rates to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit within the
country.
Financing loans for the project may be done in two ways:
1. Through local resources: contributions from:
- Lebanese donors within the
country ensure
fund raising activities for the cooperative.
Each donor contributes a minimum of two thousand US dollars.

Activities carried out by the cooperative have included a Majida
El Roumi concert and a lottery.
2. Through international resources : Contributions from
international charity organizations
and from lebanese emigrants may be made by establishing contacts and
explaining LCDs
objectives.
The Prospective Client and his Role
The
prospective clients are Christians, displaced from their regions. The
loans are to allow the displaced to return to the regions to set up
projects, to
create economic activities within the region and to profit.
